Liverpool Sound City, The Academy of Arts, Seel St, Liverpool, 17/18/19 May 2012.

Watch this space for more information for our biggest and best show planned to date! Great posters, great artists, live bands, live printing and a bloody good old time!

Optimus Primavera Sound, Parque da Cidade, Porto, Portugal, 7/8/9/10 June 2012.

After a great 'test the water' Screenadelica show at Primavera in Barcelona last year, the aAmerican Poster Institute have decided to do a full on Flatstock show there next May so Primavera have invited Screenadelica to bring our wares to Portugal to their debut Optimus Primavera, held in the beautiful Parque da Cidade.

Previous Shows

Orlando Calling, Florida, 12-13 November 2011.

We got the opportunity to take part in Orlando Calling this year and design posters for some amazing bands! The festival is in its first year but it hopefully will be a positive experience, something we can come back to build upon each year. This years show shall feature posters for The Pixies, Gogol Bordello, Lucero, The Avett Brothers and The Ettes.

Bestival 2011, Isle of Wight. 7-11 September 2011

In association with Bestival, Screenadelica played host to 11 specially commissioned poster designs for some of this years headline acts, which were available as very limited edition screenprints from our stand. Also featuring our regular artists, we had our busiest show to date with many prints selling out.

SITE Gallery, Sheffield. 2/3 September 2011

As part of the DIY Summer School programme. A special summer series of workshops, talks and events, celebrating diversity in creative making and thinking and hosted by a string of bright creatives including DIY Couture, Sheffield Publicity Department, Screenadelica, Crow & Dunnage and Rotherham 'Zine Library.

With music by bands Real Fur and Audacious Art Experiment, plus djs/visuals/film.

Primavera Sound, Barcelona, Spain. 27-29 May 2011.

The first show of its kind at Primavera, we brought the show from Liverpool Sound City over to Spain, bringing the posters to a whole new audience. We commissioned 2 posters for this festival both designed by Horse for Mogwai and Low, both of which sold out in record time. The feedback for this show was amazing, so good in fact, something very special is happening there next year!

Liverpool Sound City, International Gallery, 19-21 May 2011.

Our second ever show at our 'home' festival was such a huge step forward from our first show the previous year. Together with Sound City, we programmed a great line up of bands to complement our huge talent of artists adorning the walls. The show lasted 3 days, we had a lockout 3 nights in a row, I think we have a pretty healthy show on our hands here!

COMPETITION TIME!!

So then, over the years we have compiled a nice little collection of posters, but we only have so much space to hang them in and what use are posters in drawers!? So we have decided to start to run some competitions every month for you to get your hands on some great, highly collectable artwork! The first giveaway we have for you is from Liverpool's own, Kev Grey. Whilst not strictly a gig poster artist, I know a lot of artists are hugely influenced by what this man does, his style is un-mistakable!

Kev Grey's work has appeared in his own fanzines, including Thrappage, Gamblers Grin and Dusted Highway; he has his own series of skateboards and other graphics available from 'East Skateboards'. He contributes artwork to the record label 'Invisible Spies', most notably their Toah Dynamic 'Cops Hate Our Love' album cover. Also, he has his own series of t-shirts available called Dust Highway. Kev has done designs for other t-shirt companies including Sixpack from France, also designed flyers for various clubs & gigs, likes to paint graffiti, and has had work exhibited in the UK and Paris, the most memorable of his exhibitions being his show Loaded at Physical Poetry tattoo parlour in Leeds, where he sold a series of his paintings to fund new tattoos for himself.

Check more of Kev's work out at http://www.KevGrey.com

So this is the print thats up for grabs first:

The actual print is screenprinted onto brown card.

So to win this great print, just answer the following question:

What is the name of Kev's most recent book of his work?

Is it

a) Kev Grey and the right hand drive bicycle

b) I have 10 fingers, 2 are blind

c) Beyond the Pale: The Artwork of Kev Grey

Send what you think is your correct answer to competitions@screenadelica.com. Competition closes Friday 27th January.

Sounds fun. This can be very exciting to those who are willing to join the contest. Too bad for me that I got no time for making posters. :(
